Tesla offer two ways for regular customers to produce clean energy. The first being solar panels and the second is a solar glass roof. The solar panels as you would expect are big sheets that are placed on your roof, the solar glass roof however is much cooler. Tesla has made solar “tiles” that look similar to regular tiles on top of your house the only differences are that well obviously one is solar, another is that they are 3x stronger than standard roofing tiles. Along side these products comes the Powerwall. This works in junction with the two solar products, as they suns rays hits the panels or tiles the energy will be converted and stored in the Powerwall. This means that all of the energy that you don’t use isn’t wasted its stored so you have essentially backup power if you exceed the normal use. Tesla quotes that it has a 7+ day continuous power during an outage.
