Osiris
Osiris is the God of underworld and was formerly the God of fertility. [1]
Osiris had quite a small family, his parents were Geb (God of the Earth) and Nut (Goddess of the sky).
He also had three siblings who are: [1]
- Isis (Goddess of the throne)
- Seth also known as Seth (God of Chaos)
- Nephthys (Goddess of air) [2]
The story of how Osiris became the God of the underworld is Set was jealous of Osiris's popularity and position on the throne so he killed him. He then cut his body into 14 pieces and placed them all across Egypt. After a while Isis and Nephthys found all 14 pieces except for the phallus. They used the found body parts to resurrect Osiris, after his resurrection he became God of the underworld. The resurrection did change his appearance causing his skin to be green.[3]
