Anubis
Anubis is the God of the Dead but Osiris also took that role once he died which caused Anubis to be overshadowed by him. Once Osiris became the God of underworld Anubis became the God of mummification. [1] Anubis is normally represented as a jackal or man with a jackal head. [1] [2]
Anubis has the tasks of protecting tombs and guiding the recently deceased to the underworld to be judged for their actions. [2]
