E – commence is internet business whereby buying and selling takes place electronically. This need is whereby one registers his identity and his bank details on the internet to enable the person to trade in buying and selling products sold on the internet. It involves the transmitting of funds and data to enable the buyer to receive the goods bought at his home address. In this process one's identity is protected, and an outsider cannot have access to those data.  

Its operation is on different segments for example, like business to business, business to consumers, consumers to consumers and consumers to businesses. This involves different types of technologies in their processes.  

We have different types of technologies like using the mobile phones commence, the use cryptocurrencies as payment, transferring source electronically, internet marketing where products are displayed on the internet, management in supply chain of goods, online transaction with its processing and interchange in data electronically.  

But mainly some products of main interest are sold here. Products like books, mobile phones, desktop computers and laptops, clothing, food, flowers, electronic items etc.   

E-commerce is part of the bigger industry E business. E- commerce has helped in establishing smaller scale businesses to access a bigger market space for their products and services. This normally happens on the internet and sometimes on booklets which are shared by hand and by post.  

This modern method of making business of selling and buying has addressed the need for organizations, companies and consumers. This has helped with competition in the business, which enhances sales and products qualities.
