The Tata Steel Cold Rolled Products is part of the Port Talbot steelworks in south wales and rolls hot coil down to much thinner gauges via a cold rolling process.

There is a team of around 400 workers that work round the clock to produce steel that is garunteed to have a gauge standard deviaton of within 10 microns over the entire length of the coil. Thats an amazing engineering feat.
