How to start repairing: Inside a desktop, you will see a lot of components. Dont worry. Opening up a desktop PC is terrifying at first, but this guide will help you.

In a computer, you will see a motherboard, which looks like a green or black board with lots of wires and ports. This houses all the componenets for the Desktop as well as allowing you to connect your keyboard, mouse etc. A CPU or processor. This looks like a flat sqaure made of ceramic chip. This is usally hidden underneath a cooling fan (big fan). This allows instructions to be processed. The longs sticks are called RAM. These are located on the side of the motherboard. These allow the computer to process more things at the same time. Every desktop PC has a power supply unit. This is usually located at the bottom of the case. This helps power all the componenets on the motherboard and the desktop. A hard dive can be located in a desktop as well. This can be located at the bottom of the PC, normally next to the power supply. The optional componenets in a desktop are video/grpahics cards, audio cards, network cards and bluetooth cards.

Cleaning of a laptop/desktop: to clean a desktop, we need to open up the case. This can be done by unscrewing the thumbscrews, taking off the side panel and using an air duster to spray all over the dusty parts. If you want to do a thorogh clean, use a paintbrush to wipe off any remaining dust. After you finish cleaning, put back the panel and secure it. THis can also be done with a laptop by spraying the grills of the laptop where the fans are. If you would like to do an instensive cleanup, open the screws and the back and use the air duster on the fans inside. This can be done every 6 months so keep your PC running optimally.

Troubleshooting: If there is a internal problem within your Desktop/laptop, using a troubleshooting method should hopefully fix the problem. To access the troublershooter on windows 10, go to the settings window, search for the updates & security tab and then click on troubleshoot. This will open up a menu which can allow you to pinpoint the problem using the provided troubleshooters. This is simplified with windows 11 as you only need to go through settings, find the system tab and search for 'troubleshoot'. Windows can recommend a troubleshooter if there are any issues or you can do it manually by clicking on 'other trouble-shooters'.

How to install software and how to storage: On windows PC and laptops, you can check the storage space by going to 'file explorer' app and going to the 'this PC'. This will show you how much space you have and how much is free. To install and app on windows 10, a good application should go through a setup wizard. This will go through the steps of downloading the application onto your computer. On windows 11, the download should go through either a setup wizard or the dedicated microsoft store.
