Series XIII has been confirmed and is in the process of being filmed, it should then air later in the year. The showrunners as well as the main four actors have stated that they will keep putting out more episodes as long as they are still enjoying making them. The writers have also shown interest in a Red Dwarf film and maybe a stageshow. If XII is anything to go by XIII should see a good range of guest actors, like James Buckley who played a mechanoid in one of XII's episodes.
