Welsh Football
Swansea City
The Swans are currently in their 7th year in the Premier League and have been quite consistent in their time in the league. In the first couple of seasons they were a steady premier league team which finished mid tabled respectivly. In the last three seasons they have struggled and have stayed towards the bottom end of the league.
Cardiff City
The Blue Birds had a brief stint in the premier league when they went up as Champions of the championship. They then started the season and things didnt quite kick start and they went down and finished bottom. They are now currently in the top two of the Championship and are looking likely to come back up to the Premier League which will be good for Welsh footbal in general.
Newport County
Newport County are currently in league 2 and have been since the the 2013/14. they have won numerous Welsh Cup's. They were in the conference leagues for a while and eventully finished the play off position at the end of the season. in the play off final, they faced another Welsh team in Wrexham, which was the first time two welsh teas had played each other at wembley. They went to to win the game and gain promotion to the football league.
Wrexham FC
Wrexham are a small club that play in the Conference. Just like a lot of other Welsh teams, they are playing in England.
They play in the conference league and reached the pay off Final in 2013, They played against Newport County and lost 2-0 at wembley. They are still play in the conference today and are still trying to find their way into the football league.
The Welsh National Team
Probably the most popular team on this list is the Welsh National team. After their herotics in the European championship and reaching the Semi finals and getting knocked out by eventual winners of the tournements Portugal. They then had the world cup qualifiers, in a group which wasnt too difficult but faced a few difficulties. They started their campaign off with a lot of draws which was nor a good thing or a bad thing. Half way through the group and wales had a challenge if they wanted to go through to the world cup through the automatic places. they then had a change of form in whic they started to win a lot more games. It was all down to a final showdown in th last game of the group with Ireland in Cardiff. Wales started strongly but after a bad challenge on Joe Allen the game changed and Wales didnt qualify.
