AI can be used from cars to robot but the issues with that is that they can easily break down and are unable to adapt to situations which are not within their programmed parameters. for example if a race cars tires lose grip as they have lost temperature the AI would be able to adapt as it’s unaware that the tires are losing grip the AI will take a turn for example with low grip and will spin off the track as it did not adjust the speed whereas a human would adjust to each situation without incident
History
What is AI ?
In 1956 john McCarthy first coined the term "Artifical Intelligence" during the first academic conference on the subject. Before this Vannevar Bush proposed an idea of a system which increases peoples own knowledge and understanding.
When Did it Begin
The famous mathematician Alan Turing wrote a paper on machines being able to act and respond the same way as humna Beings or evem enhance them.
Time Lines
Alan Turing's paper(released in 1961) suggested that machines would be able to do intellegent things such as play chess.
Deep Blue
technical milestone-in 1996 a ibm supercomputer called deep mind, defeated world chess champion Gary kasparov. march 2016- google deepmind Defated 18 time world apha Go champion Lee Sedol
Turing Test
Alan Turing in 1960 came up with an idea that if a computer could imitate a human being then it could be classed as a living being.
Expert systems
expert systems are ai applications designed to solve complex problems through using existing knowledge given and making decisions based on this logic
