Task 2 PART 1 SUMMARY: Higher Education Study Skills refers to the skills that are gained by the students through their life of Higher Education either in College or in University (Debbie Guice Longman & Rhonda Holt Atkinson, 2005). It is true that Higher Education Skills are quite different from the ordinary learning skills that the students achieve throughout their school life, because, at this stage, students are grown up and they see the things from different perspective (Felce, 2010). Rather than copying others for anything or agreeing with tutors all the time, at this stage, students tend to experiment themselves which is why the learning at this stage is more practical, and proves to be more beneficial for the students (Carter, 2014). I chose to study at Higher Education Level not only because I wanted to pursue a degree, but, I also wanted to learn practical things, because, before higher education, almost the same things are taught in school, and in some colleges as well. But as we move forward, we get a chance to learn specifically about a certain subject (Rattray, 2012), which is why I was eager to study at Higher Education Level because I wanted to learn more about Social Sciences, Business, Humans and Social work which thereby motivated me to get admission in Higher Education. My Personal attitude towards learning is very positive, being very honest, I love to learn. And my interests in learning is not just limited to subjective learning of University courses, rather, my interest lies in learning everything that interests me, no matter if it is subjective course material or even small things like making excel sheets. I love to learn anything which attracts me to itself and makes my brain curious. The potential impact of this learning attitude on my learning have been very positive, and I believe that it will continue to leave a positive impact because a curious mind ready to learn can do wonders, if only it puts proper attention to what it wants to learn. There are multiple factors that may serve as a barrier during my learning process. The barriers may include Physical hindrances, Mental factors, Tutor related factors, Environmental Factors, Intellectual factors etc. (Oxford, 2021). These are five major factors that I believe may hinder during my learning process, however, it is very important for me to cope with these barriers, otherwise, my learning process would stay affected forever, thus the quality of my learning would fall. To overcome these barriers, I will make sure that I will have all the necessary items which will contribute to a peaceful learning atmosphere so I would not be thinking about any other things mentally, I would be having a calm and peaceful environment which would be perfect for learning. Lastly, for the tutor related factors, I will make sure to ask as much questions until I am 100% satisfied from the answers from tutor, because in this way, my learning would be affected if I would not do this. PART 2 Integrity of your work It is an ethical issue; the integrity of your work is important to show that it’s your original work. Sometimes people make use of other’s work from words to words which create the issue of integrity in the work and it is acceptable anywhere in the world (Integrity, 2020). It is important to give credits to the particular. At its core, plagiarism is an ethical issue. A writer who submits plagiarized work is committing theft with the hope of benefiting from that theft. This is true whether you’re turning in a school paper to get an “A” or are a writer by trade expecting monetary compensation. Avoiding plagiarism is paramount as a writer because it compromises your integrity (Integrity of work and avoiding it , 2020). Plagiarism in my work I have submitted my assignment on Turnitin and my score was 0% which means it is original work with no similarity. The digital report of my work is attached below Mark yourself and justify it and Future improvements in your work There is no plagiarism in my work so I give myself 100% marks when it comes to originality. If I face plagiarism in future then I will use following methods to avoid or remove plagiarism • Cite work of others if used • Plagiarism removal tools can be utilized to do the job • Paraphrasing can help to remove plagiarism • Use of quotations marks on the cited work
