This film was supposed to set up universals connected universe series that they was going to call the Dark Universe. It featured Tom Cruise coming up against an ancient monster. The mummy. This film did not quite live up the the previous film with the same name. The one with Brendan fraser in 1999 was better according to mosgt of the viewers of this movie. Despite featuring Tom cruise. The mummy did not get a lot of love. It did not get a good reception or many good reviews. It was a terrible start to the dark universe.
