During the Coronavirus pandemic a lot of people lost their lives worldwide, one of those to lose his Life to Covid-19 was honorary Life President of the club Les Thomas. Les was made Life President in 2018 during the 50th anniversary celebrations due to his commitment and contribution to the football club for several years. Serving as player, Coach, Assistant Coach and for a few of his later years Number one fan attending all home and away games cheering on the boys.

Les’ death was a massive loss to all at the club, and in his honour the clubs’ players and coaches embarked on a month of fundraising for Calonau Cymru, a charity close to Les’ heart which place defibrillators in the communities around wales along with delivering CPR and defibrillator training. The club managed to raise £2,750 for the charity, with club Chairman Richard Barnes presenting them with a cheque.
