Our First Wild Camp

Hello, my name is Josh Archer and welcome to my web page. I recently decided to go on my first Wild Camp taking along my oldest daughter. A bit of background on my self, I have previously spend 7 years in the British Army so sleeping outside was nothing new to me. With the pandemic I wanted to take the opportunity to be able to teach my daughter new skills and explore new hobbies.

Planning

So I started researching the different areas, routes, methods and equipment. I wanted the journey to be relativly easy as my daughter would be carrying most of her own kit. I finally came across a place in Brecon Beacons called Llyn y Fan Fach. The route to the campspot would be roughly 2Km which was on a very slight incline. It would be the perfect place to take her on her first camping trip.
