Travel Guide Corfu

Our best recommendations for travelling to Corfu Town: Arrive early in the morning. If you are travelling during the busiest months of the year (July through August), this is especially crucial. Arrive before 10am to avoid the throng and tour buses. We advise arriving before 11 a.m. if you are driving to Corfu Town. We recommend parking at this lot close to the main square, but there is plenty of on-street parking on the way into town. Its location is quite convenient, and it costs only 3 euros per day. Make a good plan for the day so you can see as many things as you can before the heat gets too high.

It can be difficult to tour outdoor sights like the fortifications in the middle of the day. There is not much shade. Wander farther from the most popular tourist attractions and check out the stores that are close to the centre. The farther you get from the tourist core, the less touristic they are, and the more affordable they are overall. Walk around Corfu Town. Within a few hours, it is plainly seen because it is a small region. A few open-top sightseeing buses will be visible, although given the size of the town, they are actually not required. To avoid the crowds, visit Corfu Town on days when the cruise ships are not docked. If you intend to eat at one of the town's restaurants, make sure to read reviews online. Many of the eateries in the main tourist area do not have the finest evaluations, so make a plan and choose where you want to dine before you go.
