Project Sparrow, where to even begin! The RSC Sparrow came into fruition July 2022 when her keel was first laid down, over 20,000 staff from RedTech and ESU collaborated tirelessley day and night devloping new carbon cermaics and thermo-alloys to ensure she'd be the first in her class and to ensure she'd always be the best! Sparrow incorporates the latest generation of RedTech Propulsion labs (RPL) Twin-ion X engines for 90% more delta V per 100KG's of fuel than the next leading craft! But this is all just the big stuff, scroll down to learn more about our latest Ceramic-carbon hull and how these engines work!
To the left we see some robotic Technicians working flawless on tuning our 4th generation of twin-IonX engines! Aremarkable proces truly, the engine works on the effect first deiscovered by a NASA technician in late 2020, by shining infra-red light through a conventional engine you can actually acclerate the particles passed the speed of light. We then fire these accelerated partciles into a reaction chamber where when saturated by positrons we can increase the mass threshold and fire it out of the outer engine surface to produce an 'exhaust' Some of our technicians call this the Mass effect.
To the right is our Materials group's latest and greatest breakthrough! This Carbon ceramic hex pattern panel is what we use to line our thermo alloy hulls, the ceramic impregnated carbon fibre provides next level rigity and lightness while providing class leading heat resitance, the hex patterned hull disrupts airflow over the middle to generate a lifting body affect allowing next level flight character even in atmosphere of as low as 0.5 bar!
To the left we see our seond generation of synthetic crew member! SASD, incorporating much of the same hardware as PIRO our pilot replcement robot SASD (Self assured systems demo robot) serves more so as a co-pilot, feeding our data centres phenomenala amounts of data and providing a networked intelligence for PIRO to use as a second pair of eyes! Teamwork really does make the dream work!
It's gotta get up there somehow! A big rocket for a mighty craft. Utilising seamless improvements over the saturn-V propulsion system we have devised a way of creating 100% reusable LRB's (Liquid rocket boosters). This allows us to use only one rocket system per launch and to be able to recover it and reuse it!
