50 Years Of Dark Side Of The Moon

What is Time about?

[5][12] Time starts off with a lot of ticking clocks, before exploding into a culmination of alarms, bells, ringing until it fades away. The sounds of the clocks were created once again by sound engineer Alan Parsons, who would go on to create the “Alan Parsons Project” and gain his own claim to fame. Nick Mason makes use of the rototoms, a very quick and almost bongo-like drum sound, this gives a very empty feeling to the whole song. The song itself, is aimed at “not wasting time” and living every day as it comes.

What Do I Think It's About?

I believe the exact same as what the song was intentionally going for “not wasting time”. It’s become a sort of anthem of mine as David Gilmour’s legendary solo in it was one of the reasons I picked up my own guitar. To call this song “influential” on my life would be a vast understatement, it gets me to stay positive, motivated and has got me through tough points in my life.

This song right here...
This is the reason you should listen to “Dark Side Of The Moon”.
