Idyllic and breathtaking!
Hidden away in the cosy hamlet of Shottery, this hidden gem is a gateway into another era!
Originally built as a farmhouse in 1463, the cottage later became home to the Hathaway family and in 1556 a beautiful baby girl was born under it's thatched roof.
The baby, named Anne, would go on to marry Stratford-upon-Avon's most famous export, William Shakespeare.
The cottage remained in the hands of the Hathaways until the late 1800s, and has been lovingly maintained to capture the imagination and take you back into the lives of those who lived there over 500 years ago!
