Space Mountain
One of the largest cliffs in the area, Space Mountain definitely has a mountain sensation.
Access.
From the bus turning circle parking spot, follow a grassed path from the bus stop into a meadow (75 m). Down to the right is a farm track and gate in the fence (75 m). After passing through the gate, turn left immediately and follow a gravel track behind a construction site to a bridge (50 m). Cross the wooden bridge and immediately, at a fork, take a narrow, initially steep path up and left (20 m) to meet a larger path heading left gently uphill. After 100 m at another fork, a tramway heads more steeply uphill on the right. Follow the tramway uphill (150 m) to where an obvious track crosses it. Turn sharply right and after 10 m, cut steeply uphill (left) on a poorly defined path, with cairns, through the conifers. After about 400 m, the left end of the cliff is reached. Take a moment to stand in awe as your eye is drawn to the ever larger walls to the right.
