00:00:01.000 --> 00:00:07.000
In today’s connected world, digital
technology surrounds and supports us

00:00:07.500 --> 00:00:14.000
and this involves lots of valuable data
which can be at risk as cybercrime techniques evolve.

00:00:14.500 --> 00:00:20.000
As members of the institution we all
have a responsibility to help protect our data.

00:00:21.000 --> 00:00:25.000
Technology such as multi-factor authentication
and strong passwords help

00:00:25.500 --> 00:00:30.000
but technology cannot do it alone - we all need to do our bit.

00:00:30.750 --> 00:00:34.000
Criminals try to trick people into
revealing data or downloading malware.

00:00:35.000 --> 00:00:42.000
Being aware of how to spot tricks, understanding how to
keep your devices safe, reporting anything suspicious,

00:00:42.500 --> 00:00:46.000
and following the right procedures
when handling data helps stop them.

00:00:47.500 --> 00:00:50.500
Although the IT team are always there for support,

00:00:51.000 --> 00:00:53.500
this training will help you develop your awareness

00:00:54.000 --> 00:00:59.500
and help you protect yourself and others
from cyber attacks and data breaches.
