This is Anfield

Anfield was built in 1884 and was originally built for Everton FC, who were the only existing football club in the city of Liverpool. However, after Liverpool were founded in 1892, the club agreed to buy out Everton FC and have the right to own the stadium.

There have been many redevelopments of Anfield throughout the years and recently in 2016, the Main Stand was redeveloped to increase the capacity of the stadium. Also, the Anfield Road stand which sits opposite the famous KOP end is currently under redevelopment to allow more away fans to attend games as well as more home fans.

Anfield is known for its intimidating and passionate atmosphere, particularly on European nights! The crowd are known for sucking the ball into the net, as the passion of Liverpool fans is known across the world.

A trip to Anfield is a must for any Liverpool or neutral fan, whether its to experience the deafening atmosphere or to take a stadium tour and experience the clubs rich history.
