<><><><><><><><><><><>

Glasgow University's Archaeology Consortium has produced an interactive Ordnance Survey Grid Reference Tutorial. The Archaeology Consortium has agreed that the OSGR tutorial can be made available for download to academic staff who are registered Digimap users.

Terms and Conditions of Use
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

The following conditions apply to the use of the OSGR tutorial:

the tutorial must be used only by Digimap registered staff to teach students on courses within Digimap subscribing institutions
the tutorial must not be used as part of any commercial activity
the tutorial must not be redistributed by any party, to any party.
These conditions are included in the read.txt file contained in the OSGR.ZIP download file.

Installing and Running the OSGR Tutorial
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Once you have downloaded the OSGR.ZIP file, unzip it to a directory called 'OSGR'. This will now contain the following four files:

*Osgr.exe
*Osgrglos.dat
*Osgrglos.inx
*Readme.txt

You do not need to do any more installation: the tutorial will work by double clicking on the Osgr.exe. If you wish to copy the tutorial to more than one pc, just copy the OSGR directory containing these four files, to an appropriate place on each PC. You may wish to create a shortcut to the Osgr.exe file and place this on the PC desktop.
