Oasis on Tour

Oasis during their time as band went on multiple world tours, each one different from the last. As I said previously, I've managed to collect 700 of these gigs for myself, I upload some of these on YouTube from time to time. As well as providing you with information on the bands tours, I will also provide you with some of my favourite gigs from each tour. They also released a documentary prior to the release of Be Here Now which is also on this page.

Definitely Maybe Tour (1994-1995)

The Definitely Maybe Tour was the first tour Oasis went on, it was in support of their debut album, Definitely Maybe. The tour began on the 31st of March 1994 and ended on the 16th of December 1995. The biggest gigs of this tour included two nights at Manchester's Earls Court, an appearance on the NME stage at Glastonbury and a headlining spot at Roskilde Festival in Denmark.

My favourite gig from this tour is the gig at the Manchester Academy on the 18th of December 1994. This gig was the last gig of the year for Oasis and it was also the last gig of the Definitely Maybe Tour. The gig is a great showing of what the band were capable of and also has a cracking setlist. I'm sure if you're a huge fan of the band you would have heard this gig before.

(What's The Story?) Morning Glory? Tour (1995-1996)

The (What's The Story?) Morning Glory? Tour was the second tour Oasis went on, it was in support of their second album, (What's The Story?) Morning Glory?. The tour began on the 22nd of September 1995 and ended on the 4th of December 1996. The biggest gigs of this tour included two nights at Manchester's Maine Road, an appearance on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury and their biggest gig to date at Knebworth Park where they played to 250,000 fans across two nights.

My favourite gig from this tour is the gig at Maine Road on the 28th of April 1996. This gig was the first of two nights at Maine Road and it was also a homecoming gig for the band, with a brilliant setlist. It is highly regarded by fans as one of the best gigs the band ever played.

Be Here Now Tour (1997-1998)

The Be Here Now Tour was the third tour Oasis went on, it was in support of their third album, Be Here Now. The tour began on the 21st of August 1997 and ended on the 22nd of August 1998. The biggest gigs of this tour included the band returning to Earls Court for another two nights, a great two gigs in Cardiff and two nights at the Wembley Stadium.

My favourite gig from this tour is the gig at the G-Mex Centre on the 14th of December 1997. This gig was the last gig of the year for Oasis, they would later go on to tour America in 1998. This is an amazing gig, where the band are at their peak and the setlist is amazing. It is probably the best gig of the tour.

Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants Tour (2000-2001)

The Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants Tour was the fourth tour Oasis went on, it was in support of their fourth album, Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants. The tour began on the 16th of February 2000 and ended on the 15th of July 2001. The biggest gigs of this tour included the band returning to Wembley Stadium for another two nights, one became infamous for Liam being extremely drunk, appearances at many festivals throughout europe and three nights at the Yokohama Arena in Japan.

My favourite gig from this tour would be when the band visited the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. They played with drummer Alan White's brother Steve on drums as he had sprained his hand prior to the US tour. The setlist also included throwbacks such as Columbia and Fade Away from their Definitely Maybe days and all in all was a great sounding gig.

Heathen Chemistry Tour (2002-2003)

The Heathen Chemistry Tour was the fifth tour Oasis went on, it was in support of their fifth album, Heathen Chemistry. The tour began on the 29th of May 2002 and ended on the 17th of March 2003. The biggest gigs of this tour included the band visiting London's Finsbury Park for two nights, a headlining spot at Scotland's T in the Park festival and an amazing appearance in Hiroshima.

My favourite gig from this tour is the gig in New York's Roseland Ballroom. The gig has a great crowd and sports great renditions of Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Live Forever and Cigarettes & Alcohol.

Don't Believe The Truth Tour (2005-2006)

The Don't Believe The Truth Tour was the sixth tour Oasis went on, it was in support of their sixth album, Don't Believe The Truth. The tour began on the 10th of May 2005 and ended on the 31st of March 2006. The biggest gigs of this tour included the band visiting the City of Manchester Stadium for two nights, a headlining spot at the V Festival and a great gig at the Hollywood Bowl.

My favourite gig from this tour is the gig at Hampden Park in Glasgow. The gig a fantastic crowd and includes a great version of Live Forever mostly sang by the crowd.

Dig Out Your Soul Tour (2008-2009)

The Dig Out Your Soul Tour was the seventh tour Oasis went on, it was in support of their seventh album, Dig Out Your Soul. The tour began on the 29th of August 2008 and ended on the 22nd of August 2009. The biggest gigs of this tour included the band playing three massive nights at Heaton Park, a huge gig in Cardiff and the band playing Wembley Stadium on two separate occasions.

My favourite gig from this tour is the gig at the Wembley Stadium in London in 2009. The gig has an absolutely rocking setlist, including a rare version of Whatever performed with Noel on vocals. It also included a great version of I Am The Walrus at the end, which was newly brought back on this tour after not being played since
