00:00:02.200 --> 00:00:05.700
Health and safety is a major issue for all organisations

00:00:06.000 --> 00:00:07.600
and the people who work within them.

00:00:08.000 --> 00:00:09.200
And that includes you!

00:00:10.200 --> 00:00:10.800
In this course,

00:00:10.900 --> 00:00:15.200
we’ll explore what health and safety is and why it’s so important.

00:00:15.700 --> 00:00:18.100
We’ll look at some of the practical things you can do

00:00:18.100 --> 00:00:20.200
to improve safety in your workplace

00:00:20.600 --> 00:00:22.800
and create a healthy working environment.

00:00:23.600 --> 00:00:26.900
And we’ll introduce you to some of the main legislation that’s been put in place,

00:00:27.200 --> 00:00:29.800
and consider the responsibilities that organisations

00:00:29.900 --> 00:00:33.900
and individuals have for maintaining high standards of health and safety.
