Success in school often depends on having certain skills that help people study, remember, and use information. When you enter the workforce, you can also use the skills you learned in school. You can achieve your objectives if you comprehend how they support your career. (indeed 2023).
This article aims to demonstrate the growing significance of soft skills in an environment that is constantly shifting. Students' and employers' perceptions of the significance of soft skills in various European countries were examined and compared in a study. According to the findings, 86% of respondents believe that companies place a higher value on soft skills than they do on students or graduates over the past five to ten years. The ranking of the 20 soft skills in this paper has also shown significant differences, indicating different levels of importance. According to the findings of this study, businesses and higher education institutions (HEIs) should collaborate not only to raise students' awareness of the significance of soft skills but also to guide them in taking personal responsibility for acquiring and developing these essential skills in order for them to continuously adapt to the shifting labour market and improve their employability (Succi 2019).
So, Students must be equipped with both technical and employability skills by educational institutions. Producing graduates who excel academically, master technical skills, and possess balanced employability skills is currently the greatest challenge. The knowledge, abilities, and competencies that people need to find and keep jobs, advance in their careers, adapt to new situations, and re-enter the labor market throughout their lives are referred to as employability skills. High skill levels, extensive education and training, teamwork, ICT proficiency, ability to solve problems, and communication skills are among these. This set of skills makes it easier for people to adapt to the changing needs of the workforce and makes them more employable(Fajaryati 2020).
As a result, in light of the information that has been presented thus far, I believed that acquiring fundamental skills at UWTS would pave the way for a successful career and open doors to additional employment opportunities for us in the future.
