Pocket Potions was created by Zoe Hooper (Head of Chemistry at St. Josephs Comprehensive School) in February 2021.
Whilst on maternity leave, Zoe discovered there was a flaw in revision resources where students were needing to spend a lot of time organising topic content instead of being able to focus solely on their learning. There was also a gap in the market for revision notecards, covering complicated topics in consumable chunks. And thus, Pocket Potions was born.
With the aim of helping to relieve some of the stress that comes along with revision, Pocket Potions provides chemistry students with revision notecards for each exam topic. Each set starts with key words and definitions for the given topic, and are a mixture of typed and handwritten notes, printed on 350gsm silk card.
Zoe has utilised her knowledge of both the GCSE and A Level exam marking criteria and created each topic set with the key information needed to score those crucial exam marks.
Pocket Potions also offers revision planners for students wishing to set revision goals and to help make revision timetables easier to follow. Pocket Potions wasn't just created to help students... A teacher's planner has also been created for those looking for help with organising their timetable, weekly overviews, daily lessons, and grades.
Pocket Potions is based in Abergavenny, Wales and offers delivery worldwide.
