Cost of a Tesla
The current cost of a tesla is not cheap. However, for a company that has been making cars for less than 15 years it is managing to tap into a huge chunk of the market that isn't just "rich people wanting a new toy"
Tesla started with the Model S which started at a high price of $57,000 and with all features could cost up to a staggering $120.000 although as seen on the "home" page this was all part of the Master Plan which is thus far delivering. The fact is that since the first of the "S3XY" cars came out Tesla has managed to reach out to more users by releasing a car that suited their need/price range.
While the Model X was more expensive than the S it did offer families space for kids and language which is perfect for road trips. The cost of Tesla's most recent car that is being produced is the Model 3 which is promised to be $35,000 although for the first year only versions that cost closer to $50,000 were being made so that they could afford to make up the money for the cheaper versions. So far the comparison has only been in $ and that is because until February 2019 the majority or Tecla’s were only available in the US.
Government Incentives
Depending on the country there are many incentives that could save $1000's for the UK currently you are able to get £3,500 although this is not taking into consideration the annual costs that are being saved.
- No vehicle tax
- No break pad change (Tesla uses regenerative breaking )
- Fuel is much cheaper especially if you buy a charger for the house + solar panels
