Hello, I’m a semi retired surgeon, and I still have some activities on a floating basis. Anytime on Thursday works best for me. I could probably attend most of the sessions other than Wednesday mornings, which is my regular teaching clinic. I am quite used to working live and by recording, having done a few certificates this way previously. I am really looking forward to the course, and meeting you, though I have not used the JACT books before. We are up to book 5 of the Cambridge Latin course at my local U3A club, and I have done some spoken courses with the Oxford Latinitas group, with varying success. Many thanks.

Dear all

Welcome to Intensive Latin 1, semester 1 2026-7! Classes will start the week beginning the 5th October. Please make sure you have acquired the required Jones and Sidwell (second edition).

Please could people individually email me (r.parkes@uwtsd.ac.uk) with times that they cannot do normally on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 8am and 6pm. I will try ensure that the class time is one that the majority can do (but the class will be recorded anyway)

best

Ruth
