by Janice Garcia.

Organizational culture can be one of the strongest drivers—or barriers—to organisational performance. At its core, culture shapes how people think, behave, make decisions, and respond to challenges. When culture aligns with strategy, performance tends to accelerate; when it clashes, even the best strategies struggle to take hold.

by Rosemary Jordao.

In my view, organisational culture has a powerful influence on performance because it shapes how people behave, make decisions, and feel about their work. When a workplace is built on trust, teamwork, and shared values, employees are more motivated, productive, and likely to stay with the organisation.

I also believe culture affects leadership and how well a business responds to change. When people are trusted with responsibility and clear expectations, decisions are made more quickly and innovation is more likely to happen. A supportive and growth-focused environment can therefore improve overall results.

On the other hand, a negative or misaligned culture can damage morale, increase staff turnover, and reduce effectiveness. For long term success, culture needs to align closely with organisational goals and values.
