by Gemma Nicole Farrell.

Ecology is the study of how living organisms interact with each other and with their environment. Plants, animals, people, soil, water, air, climate and microorganisms.
It matters to outdoor Adventure Education as you cannot fully understand outdoor education without understanding and respecting the environment in which you are in. E.g LEAVE NO TRACE

by Zach Main.

Ecology is the study and understanding of living things and their environments/habitats.

Ecology is relevant to outdoor adventure education as it is important to understand the natural backdrops of many outdoor activities in order to respect them effectively and navigate them safely

by Patrick Somervaille.

ecology is the study of all living organisms in the natural environment. this can range anywhere from bacteria and lichen to plant life and all the way to large mammals.

I believe Ecology and Outdoor Adventure Education exist with a symbiotic relationship. without ecology and the living organisms of the world there would be no outdoor adventure education, locations or purpose. Without OAE the natural environment would be subject to destruction and damage, not of any malicious intent but simply based from lack of information
