by Ana Flora Machado Bravo MacHado.

Hi everyone! I am joining the introductions forum, since I could not attend yesterday's class due to work. My name is Ana. I am Portuguese, currently living in the surrounding area of Lisbon, although I was raised up north and lived in the south for an extensive period of time. Currently, I'm a vineyard owner up north, which back then took too much of my time away from my PhD, so I was unable to finish it at the time. I came back to academia to finish what I started, this time in a new field of studies (I was in Culture Studies). I'm really looking forward to studying again, especially a field of interest I've been very fond of for a long time now, which is Ancient Religions, and Lusitanian religions in particular.

Looking forward to getting to know you.

All the best!

by Ana Flora Machado Bravo MacHado.

That was a wonderful read on Horace's Ode, thank you so much. I enjoyed how you connected the complicated description of Cleopatra with the context of the time, that helped me a lot.

by Lisa Morgan.

Hi everyone! I'm Lisa, currently living in Oxfordshire, but Welsh born and bred, and hoping to come home in the next year or two, meanwhile I'm enjoying being in a beautiful rural setting 9 miles from Oxford, which has some obvious advantages (Come on down, Pitt Rivers Museum!)
I've been out of education for a while, and faintly terrified at going back in at MA level, but I'm 60 in a month's time so if not now, when? I'm doing the Ancient Religions course, and hype to get stuck in, but also realising the importance of the Research and Methodology module, things are very different at this level!
Very much looking forward to getting to know you all, let's go!
