However, do you think experience impacts on risk perception and risk tolerance? Is it ethical to encourage a perception of greater risk (and potentially decrease risk tolerance) through the media we produce for the sake of something that is exciting and elicits an emotional connection. What does this do to the public perception of adventure sports and therefore their response when it all goes wrong?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

I wonder whether a more experienced individual who trusts their judgement does raise their tolerance for risk or whether is simply allows them to better mitigate or control the risk until it comes down to an acceptable level? Arguably the adventurers with a lower risk tolerance are the ones who are still alive?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>
