In Health and Social Care, self-determination means empowering service users and patients to:
Make informed decisions regarding their own care, treatment, and lifestyle.
Maintain independence and autonomy over their personal goals and daily routines.
Have their choices respected, ensuring care is person-centered and respects human dignity.
