    <title>Mirage Case Study</title>
    <link>https://moodle.uwtsd.ac.uk/mod/forum/view.php?f=23181</link>
<description>Mirage is a leading company in UK’s food sector. In 2020, its turnover dropped significantly by over £1.2 million. Founded twenty years ago, the company relies on services of over 3,000 workers and has industrial plants, subsidiaries and branches all over United Kingdom.  As a major supplier of poultry to leading fast food restaurants in several countries across Europe, Mirage remains subject to intense market pressure that requires constant innovation, human capacity development and morale boosting initiatives.
An internal analysis in January 2021 led the senior leadership to focus on profit generation as a major priority for the rest of the year. However, during a chat with three other managers (Wesley, Mohammad and Kayani), there were indications that most employees now feel isolated, disconnected and are poised to search for alternatives because of the priority set by senior leadership.
As a manager, you are conscious that the results were not really the best in 2020 so this has caused you and most managers to sit up. Using relevant and specific theoretical concepts, discuss the way forward for Mirage from an Emotional Intelligence perspective. You are also required to email a response of not more than 250 words to the tutor, when instructed.
