by Rosu Loredana Cornelia.

Emotional Intelligence refers to the ability recognize, understand, manage, and influence emotions-both in oneself and in others. There are several models of Emotional Intelligence, but the three must prominent are:

Goleman's Model (Mixed Model) Daniel Goleman popularized Emotional Inteligent with his 1995 book. his model blends emotional competencies with personality traits. FIVE KEY COMPONENTS:

1. Self -Awarness Recognizing one s emotions and their effect

            Accurate self assessment

            Self confidence

  2. Self Regulation Managing emotions appropriately

             Trustworthiness and integrity Adaptability

3. Motivation Passion for work beyond money or status Commitment Initiative and optimism

  4. Empathy

              Understanding other emotions

               Developing others

               Political and cultural awareness

5. Social Skills

               Building rapport and managing relationship

                Conflict management
